Europe claims most of the world’s top soccer clubs, but do you know the cities with the most number of leading teams?

London. What can you say about the positive British capital? It is a truly wondrous city – museums, art galleries, famed sites and attractions, restaurants, bars and even world-class theatre shows. The city has everything. In fact, it also happens to be one of the world’s best sports cities. As with pretty much all European places, soccer reigns supreme. Fortuitously for London, it has many of the top English football teams. There are a number of sides presently playing in the country’s first division, but Tottenham Hotspurs and its owner are very delighted to be developing into strong European contenders too. It joins a variety of other English clubs that are contending to be crowned kings of the Champions League. If you plan a trip to the big location, be sure to take a look at all the most important sites but do not forget to include going to a football game on your itinerary as well – it is an experience you do not want to miss!

Football is, without question, the world’s most popular sport. The beautiful game, as it is more affectionately known, has an ever-growing fanbase. Countries and leagues from all over the world compete to win some of the first rate prizes. Nonetheless, it's European teams that seem to come out on top a lot of the time. In fact, European soccer teams are so strong, that a number of cities on the continent have more than one of the best teams headquartered in them. This is certainly the case when it comes to the Spanish capital. Madrid is not only a remarkable city to go to for its food, people and architecture, but it also has a particularly strong and proud footballing tradition and rivalry. Real Madrid and its president are genuinely grateful that they tend to come up on top, but their city rivals are strong competitors and title challengers too.

If you were to peek at a World map of the best football clubs, you would definitely notice that they all seem to assemble on the European area. It makes sense bearing in mind that it is where the sport was invented, and that it contains the most competitive football leagues. Having said that, different European cities have more pedigree than others when it comes to excellent football clubs. Look at the fashion capital of Italy for example. Milan has not one, but two of the world’s top football clubs. AC Milan and its owner certainly love that they come from such a strong footballing city. In actual fact, the city is widely known for 2 things – fashion and football! People tend to flock there for one or the other. If they’re fortunate, they get to find enjoyment in the best of both sides.
